There is no panacea, no magic bullet. There might be a solution that fits me, there is certainly something that can fit me better. So how do I discover or create it? Reading what others have done is useful, but only in a background kind of way – now. I've spent hours and days exploring, time to look within.

Principles

Watch for repeats, note them down.

Avoid copies.

Note similarities. Write them down.

Searching is essential. Browsing is essential. Linking is essential.

An index or card catalogue or dashboard is needed. I kept hoping I'd find a tool out there to do it automatically. There are many that tackle aspects, but no cohesive system (that works for me).
