Sand Medium
I think the “modelling” substance could be a number of things, with more reflective being best of course. It would be fun to try:
- Damp sand (so, castles)
- Homemade kinetic sand (Cornstarch and water. Would need to be refreshed else get's moldy.)
- Commercial kinetic sand (v. good option, but expensive, several hundred $)
- Popcorn (yum)
- Rice
- Salt, sugar (oh oh)
- Styrofoam beads (horrible to clean though!)
- Powdered cement
- Commercial sand (suggested by SidRock): Target Products: 800-575-0500

Phase II
Partner with 3D scanner and printer so can save your best builds as a souvenir.
